We are pleased to announce that Petley Wood have agreed in conjunction with Sussex BS to sponsor a new championship class at this years South of England show. The class will run on the Saturday of the show in the Balcombe ring.
The class will be open to combinations that have qualified in Foxhunter/1.20 opens held at Sussex shows held at Pyecombe,Felbridge, Coombelands, Crockstead and Petley Wood by either being double clear or placed. The class will be named the Petley Wood Sussex BS Area 46 1.25 Open final with a winners purse of £250.

The weekend of May 21/22 saw competitors flock to the popular East Sussex venue for a varied 2 day BS show which included the KBIS British Novice 2nd round.
Taking top spot made the journey worthwhile from Billericay in Essex for Alice Godfrey riding her own 5yr old Hannibal S. Alice managed to shave nearly 2 seconds of her nearest rival, also from Essex, being Victoria Jacobs on Edessa II, taking third spot in the 9 horse jump off went to Sophie Weaver from Hertfordshire on the 8 yr old NBE Dynamic
The other major class of the show saw the running of the National team qualifier which went to the Sussex quartet of Betsy Davis, Lisa Copper, Kirsty Welch, and Harriet Crosbie Barcroft who finshed the 2 round table A class on zero penalties and securing there place at the National Championships

These days will comprise of riding through a pre chosen test being judged by a listed judge who officiates at local horse trials and BD shows. The test will be marked in the normal way, the judge will then spend approx 10 minutes going through the test sheet and suggesting how better marks can be gained, the test will then be re ridden and judged accordingly.
